Coaching
Our teams are supported and trained by our experienced Level 2 coaches. In addition, we have adult assistants and junior coaches who help with our training sessions.
Junior Coaches are utilised to develop our ‘home grown’ coaching and umpiring talent. A Level 2 and/or level 1 fully qualified coach will always be present. An adult member with full DBS present at all times and any youth trainees are mentored.
Our Juniors are encouraged to develop their netball skills, and can also get involved in umpiring or coaching. The INTO umpiring qualification is available from age 13, and Coaching Level 1 from age 16.

Leagues & Tournaments
Wavell League – From U9s to U16s - The Wavell Junior League is a competitive local league for the winter season and a friendly league for the summer season where our teams continue to be successful within their divisions. We enter on average x 9 teams for each season and along with the opportunity for all our players to take part in competitive match play against other local teams we are very excited to see how they all develop. Matches are currently held on a Tuesday (Div 1 to 8) or Thursday (Div 9 to 12). Included in termly fees.

Hampshire Junior Country league for all U11s and above – We are pleased to confirm that we have once again been asked to take part in this ‘invitation only’ league coming off the back of our previous successful winter and summer results with matches being held on a Saturday (normally x 1 a month) in Southampton. To be included in this league offers our players further competitive match play against other professional clubs in Hampshire and we can confirm we will be entering teams for every age group from U11 and above. We are, once again, very excited to see what all of our Panthers teams can achieve next season. Match fees are paid in addition to club netball.
Panthers own Elite (home) tournaments – these are an opportunity for friendly and fun match play against local and further afield teams from the South. These are held on a regular basis throughout the season, normally on a Sunday.
Away tournaments – The invites from other professional clubs in the South to attend their own tournaments come in frequently and we aim to give all our players the opportunity to take part. The purpose of these tournaments is to provide friendly, competitive and fun match play for our players. It is a great opportunity and experience for all our players and for Panthers as a club to be seen by and be a part of the wider netball community. These tournaments are very time consuming, require a lot of organisation (behind the scenes) by both our committee members and wonderful volunteer parent helpers. Coaches and umpires are required to be paid. We will continue to request a modest entrance fee for any away tournament.
